Collection: TEXTILE ART PICTURES

A collection of sea Inspired Mixed Media Textile Art. Each piece is made using Irish linen or cotton fabric as the base. This is then layered with merino wool, spun silk & bamboo felt fibres that are not felted down but gently blended together using other Techniques of subtle stitching, fabric manipulation and sources of heat are used to achieve my desired painterly effect.

Other materials are used  to create the shore from fabric, handmade papers and other media that create textured surfaces.
My aim is to capture the beauty and movement of the sea, its colours and textures. Tiny seashells adorn some pieces and glass beads that resemble pebbles on the shoreline . No two pieces are exactly the same due to the nature of my materials.

All pieces are original works  of Textile Art . The use of Colour and attention to detail are key qualities of my work.  I lay out my materials as if it were paint on a canvas and take inspiration from my own photographs, drawings and memories of the Sea.

Framed behind glass in a white limed wooden box style picture frame that are manufactured by Strand Framing.  Each piece is made by hand. Frames for my long seascape are custom made to my own dimensions and this size is made to order. 
Each piece is created by hand and larger pieces take more time to complete. 

All frame sizes can be shipped.  Pieces are calculated by weight and sent via tracking service with AN POST 

Customers can request custom titles for commissioned pieces, for example the name of a beach or place name. 

Due to the nature of my materials and methods used, some slight differences will occur as no two pieces are exactly alike.
