My Story


My name is Gráinne and I am a Textile Designer / Artist from Gorey, Co. Wexford.

I am inspired by the ever changing colours and textures of Shorelines to Sunsets, along the south east coastline and the Wild Atlantic Way. 

I love the Sea, from its colours, textures and how the effects of weather changes the landscape during the different seasons. There is always something new to look at and capture for my work.

My background is in handwoven textiles and mixed media. My textile artwork has often been mistaken for paintings.
I design mixed media textile artwork, using a combination of natural and sustainable fibres and fabrics, from wool to spun silk fibres and other media to create colourful and tactile pieces. Each piece is framed using Irish made frames. My designs have also inspired a range of sea inspired fabric lamps among other products.
I hope you enjoy my work and that it reminds you of a 'little piece of Ireland' every time you look at it.
